Can someone help with this algebra rational expression word problem thing? im stuck...?

To represent the total or difference of time, an expression could be written. For the hot air balloon ride example, the total time it took to get there can be expressed in an equation. Total time=distance x distance traveled per minute. Your question works, and your equation would be something like the first example equation I gave. Another example could be, for the kayak race and for difference, the difference in time between finishers=kayaker 1's time - kayaker 2's time, to find the difference between the finishes.
