I acedently broke my friend's wand!? WHAT TO DO!?

I was using it because I haven't gotten mine yet. I'm a first year and amm getting mine soon. I heard that the wand chooses the wizard or witch and I wanted to see and I tried a spell I heard my friend use (alohamora) and then I acedently broke the wand!! What do I do and what do I tell him?!
