Ipad 2 or ipod touch4g?

ok so i decided on either getting the new ipad or the ipod touch but idk which is bettr. i like the ipad 2 caz its like a laptop basically but since id get the wifi only and its kind of large i wouldnt take it evrywhere but thts fine.then thers the ipod touch and id get the 32 gb one. i kno it has a lot more apps and its portable but it also seems too slim. which is a betr investment bcaz the ipad would be $200 more hen the ipod and i would need to kno if its worth it
