How do I find the right nail polish?

I want to paint my nails for grad but my mom took away my last bottle of nail polish because I spilled it. When I asked for it back she said she might have thrown it out because it had fumes and was dangerous. Now I'm scared I could buy another unhealthy nail polish on the 21st! (that gives you guys lots of time to answer) So what`s a safe brand, hopefully cheap and found at a Canadian Shoppers Drug Mart (are there Shoppers Drug Marts in the US?) Thanks!
