one day in art just ask him to hangout. He obviously likes you in some form. Doesn't have to be like like. But he starts conversations with you meaning he doesn't mind talking with you and he's friendly enough to say hi. So ask him tot hangout, have a good time, get to know each other better and see how it goes from there. It'll be worth it, even if your nervous. Trust me. Good luck.
