Hi fellow seniors, how do you feel about organic food?

I think it is hysterical. The "organic" food industry just slaps a word "organic" on a product and jacks up the price to triple the price for that product and they make a ton of money. There is no one monitoring, inspecting the organic food industry. So no one is verifying, inspecting, checking to make sure that farmers are actually growing or producing things organically. No one is proving or having to prove that the product is "organic" they just have to claim it is, and people who don't know any better just accept it for the truth and pay extra for a product. It is like when companies claimed a product was 'fat free" or "low fat" and they were not. I think as long as there is hype and money to be made they will continue. They don't need proof, no one monitors that industry.
