How to untag myself from a facebook message?

My friend sent me a message, along with 399 other people, about her making a new facebook.well, now everyone is replying saying take me off this and its getting on my nerves. i have received over 700 txt messages and i amm sooooooo freaking mad. help! is there any way to untagg myself from the message thread? if not, would it halp by deleating the friend? thanks!:)
