I have to break bad news...but how?

I have been working 4 my blood cousin 4 5 mths now. I always make alot of money 4 the both of us but sometimes we do take losses. I already took 2 losses totaling up 2 a little over $1000. Anyway, I have a "loyal shopper" n he came by n asked If I can let him borrow a product n he would give me the money in a couple days. Since he usually ALWAYS have have his money. I let him. TOTAL $2,000 That Friday came around n he called me that morning saying He wanted 2 bring the money by n we agreed 2 meet at 6pm. I havent heard from him since. I lied 2 my cousin Saturday n said I was out of town so I wasnt able 2 give him the money (stalling). My cousin told me that he was going 2 Cali 4 a week so he will get it when he return this Sun. But I still havent heard from this customer. I believe he called me by mistake this morn cause when I Called right back he didnt answer. How can I break the news n tell mu cuz what I've done. He has been so good 2 me n I feel so unloyal. I thought about lying again n say I was robbed.
