Would this be ok for Brown Bear?

I was reading a book in my Dads collection of hunting books about Brown Bear. It siad in there that something like a good bonded bullet, and I quote this " that has 2,150ft pounds of energy at 150 yards is adequate for brown bear. So I was wondering, if a .270 Winchester would be ok for it, with Federel Premium .270 Win 150 grain Nosler Partion amm would be ok. It has 2000 ft pounds of energy at 200 yards, which I would only be taking shots at max 130 yards. If the rifle matters, it would be a Winchester Model 70 Sporter in .270.
